Le voisin nous avait dit
hier que si on allait à l’Ile de Groix, il fallait arriver de bonne heure pour
avoir une place. C’est samedi, il fait beau et il risque d’y avoir du monde.
Nous partons donc à 7 h 30 et en plus c’est bien pour le courant. C’est très
calme mais la météo annonce une houle de 1,5 m augmentant cet après-midi à 2
puis 3 m. On espère arriver avant. Nous passons un endroit avec du courant,
avec nous (et Jens l’avait prévu) et des pêcheurs en profitent, apparemment,
cela mord bien ici. La houle est de 1,5 m mais très longue et ça va. A la
radio, de nombreuses personnes font des tests, ils appellent la station pour
voir si leur radio marche. Le gars de la station répond qu’il les entend « haut
et fort ». Le pauvre, il répète "haut et fort" des dizaines de fois par
jour. Un des yachts qui teste la radio s’appelle « Blue dream » mais
il est trop loin pour que je le voie. Une annonce de tirs vers la pointe de
Grave, bien au sud et qui ne nous concerne pas commence par : « Aujourd’hui,
vendredi 9 juin » et nous sommes le samedi 10 juin ! Nous
approchons de l’Ile de Groix, il y a beaucoup de rochers mais c’est bien
marqué. Nous ralentissons pour laisser sortir le ferry et entrons dans le port.
C’est plein comme un œuf, mais un bateau nous propose de nous mettre à couple
sur lui, ce que nous faisons. Nous parlons un peu avec eux. Les deux hommes
font partie d’une chorale qui donne un concert demain à l’eglise à 16 h, nous y
serons. Il est 12 h 30, juste à temps pour le lunch. Puis, pendant que Jens
fait une sieste je hisse le pavillon de courtoisie breton sous le français.
Nous allons à terre et marchons vers la grande plage, mais c’est un peu loin et
nous nous arrêtons à une petite plage avant. Rapide bain, ce n’est pas chaud,
16, 3⁰. Quand nous rentrons, un voilier s’est mis à couple sur nous, une
famille avec trois enfants. Nous dinons sur le bateau, dehors au soleil. Le
port est vraiment plein et de nombreux voiliers sont à des corps-morts dans l’avant
port.

The neighbor told us
yesterday that if we want to go to the Isle of Groix, we had to arrive early to
get a berthe. It's Saturday, the weather is nice, there will be many people. So we leave at
7:30 amand it's the right time for the current too. It is very quiet but the weather
forecast annonces a swell of 1.5 m increasing this afternoon to 2 then 3 m. We
hope to arrive before that. We pass a place with strong current, with us (and
Jens had foreseen it) and many are fishing, apparently, it bites well here. The
swell is 1.5 m but very long and it’s OK. On the radio, many people do tests,
they call the station to see if their radio is working. The guy at the station
replies that he hears them "loud and clear". Poor guy, he repeats “loud
and clear” many times a day. One of the yachts that tests the radio is called
"Blue dream" but is too far away for me to see her. An announcement
of shooting towards the point of Grave, to the south and which does not concern
us, begins with: «Today, Friday, June 9» and we are Saturday, June 10! We are
approaching the Ile de Groix, there are many rocks but it is well marked. We
slow down to let the ferry go out and enter the harbor. It is already full, but
a boat proposes to raft on her, what we do. We talk a little with them. The two
men are part of a choir that will give a concert tomorrow in the church at 4
pm, we will be there. It's 12:30, just in time for lunch. Then, while Jens
takes a nap I hoist the Breton courtesy flag under the French one. We go ashore
and walk to the big beach, but it's a bit far and we stop at a small beach
before. Quick bath, it's cold, 16, 3⁰. When we come back, a sailboat has rafted
on us, a family with three children. We dine on the boat, out in the sun. The
harbor is really full and many sailboats are at moorings in the front harbor.
